A few more cards I made this session...1. Six little chicks colored (Copic) and cut out and stacked followed by Glossy Accents. 2. The black cardstock scored stripes with scor-pal. 3. A stamp I picked up Sunday in Lakeland at Art Glass and Stamp Studio colored with Prisma colored pencils, Copic markers and at you-Spica markers...back to work tomorrow, so good, so sad. I must make some money to support this habit. Have a good day Tampa Bay!
Another day off, well spent cardmaking. Did I mention that I love to make cards? This all started by making a Twenty Fifth Anniversary Scrapbook about three years ago. I am sorry it took so long to discover this craft. I spent many years sewing, cross stitching, cake decorating, crocheting, etc.
Oh my poor hands! (They don't work so good sometimes.) I finally gave away my cross stitch library to a co-worker. I donated all the fabric to friend who runs a church bizarre every year. I did keep the sewing machine and serger. Back to cardmaking, I traced the fairy from a book I purchased recently from Joann's using my embossing utensil with white graphite paper. I colored the picture with Copic marker's. Next, the pink cardstock I scored the shape of the picture with the Scor-Pal. Thirdly, I used the faux stamp outline I bought at Stamp Fest for the beach scene. The beach scene is a $1 stamp from Joann's. I love those little acrylic stamps. Next, the lady bug I embellished the black with glossy accents.
The Easter Egg Wreath is the tiny Tapestry stamps found again at Stamp Fest with a Martha Stewart flower embellishment in the center. And last for this post is another $1 stamp set from the Joann $1 bin.
I went to Zumba at the YMCA today...What fun! I am all about having fun when I exercise. I have trouble with boring treadmills, etc. I did do some sweating...but oh so fun.
We picked up Don and Cindy from the cruise port this morning as they celebrated their 25th with a Cruise on Royal Carribean. They are nicely tanned.
We stopped on the way home from the cruise port at Pearl Fine Art Store since we where in Tampa. I purchased some more Copic Markers, their selection was limited though, so I picked up a couple of additional brands. I chose a Blender pen from Prisma (which I have used in the past and I am happy with.) I picked a brand named Touch the manufacturer is ShirHan Art International Inc. Any users out there? I will let you know what I think. All comments are welcome. I look forward to hearing from you.
