I Climbed Mount Dora

Up at 5 am this morning to wash my blue jeans.  I made my list for the Stamping Station in Mt. Dora.  We packed our back packs, picked up the neighbors and started off for the hundred mile drive.  The day was beautiful, clear, sunny and about seventy five degrees.  We stopped at a german bakery in Yalaha for some goodies.  Yum, yum we split a ham and cheese croissant and a piece of mile high apple pie (all apples, not apple pie filling).  We bought a loaf of german rye to eat this week and I purchased a loaf of raisin bread to take to the co-workers tomorrow.  Arrived at about 11:30, to walk around the art festival with great anticipation of the Stamping Station to open at noon.  The art show was awesome, I bought a unique ring made of glass with a picture of Mona Lisa transferred onto it.   The artist said she used transfer photo paper from a website called Delphi (need to check it out).   One artist was selling her leather bound journals, oh my, beautiful and quite pricey.  I couldn't do it today as much as I wanted to.  I had a scrapping store to explore.  Finally, made it to the store.  First purchase was three Inkadinkado Valentine stamps (buy two, get one free).  Picked out the heart #99036, the word Love #99035 and Love birds #99039.  I found a stamp with multiple hats (been looking as I would like to make red hat cards for Mom).  I found a characture of a knight for Blue Knight cards and a mesh bee-hive looking background stamp.  I picked up two copic markers (ciao), my first as I use the sketch markers.  I found some punches that coordinate with punches I currently use and have been unable to find in my neck of the woods...a one inch square (to make some inchies), an oval scallop and a small square that matches a scalloped square.  The wheels are spinning with ideas.  I purchased some (small) ink pads of versa fine.  The clerk said they are coming out with refills for the versa fine.  I was in the market for versa mark dazzle and frost but they where sold out.  The husband made an appearance in the store to hurry me.  I promised to check out in a half hour.  The three of them continued on with the art festival as I hurriedly shopped.  Bummer!  Checked out and called the gang on the cell phone to make arrangements to meet.  We back tracked and Louise bought some jewelry at the booth that  I had found the ring.  She purchased a couple of pendants for gifts...she informed me she only needs one more gift to buy for next Christmas...jeepers!  We left the festivities for the Cracker Barrel in Leesburg.  We both bought some clothes from the mark down rack.  We ventured on to the Russell Stover Outlet Store in Wildwood.  I said on the way that I would wait in the car while they went in...I lied being the weak individual that I am.  I went in, ate the samples twice.  Bought several bags of sugar free candy.  Then continued to eat Louise's chocolate on the way home.  I guess it doesn't count if I didn't buy it.  What a great day.  Can't wait to hit the scrap room to play, but not tonite.  Snapshots to come in the future.  Work in the AM,  can't remember the time, either 8 or 8:30...it is different practically everyday.  One must be flexible in the recovery room, it is an awesome job.
